Presidents Message April 2nd, 2014

As I write this message I have started to thinking about our mortality since none of are going to live forever and how we can continue our Rotary work after our demise. So let me outline a few ways this can happen; one way is to become a Rotary Benefactor, this only requires you to committee $1,000.00 either outlined in your will or from a insurance policy naming The Rotary Foundation as the recipient. Your second way is to become a Bequest Society Member; and in this you are committing a minimum of $10,000.00 in the same way as above in either insurance or your will. Your third way is to make a donation in any amount to the Rotary Foundation’s Permanent; in this only the interest earned on your money will ever be spent on Rotary projects. Now if any of you just happen to have an extra $250,000.00 or more to donate you would like to donate you can become an Arch C. Klumph Society Member.

If any of the above listed programs sound good to you contact your Club’s Foundation Chair, who is our own Wm. “Bill” Copper and for any of you non Rotarians who would like to assist Rotary in its projects and programs please contact me at this email info@lvcentralrotary.com and I will be glade to assest you with your donation.

This week’s program should be interesting for those of us who are 65 years old or even close to retirement age because it will help us to understand Medicare better. The only thing  I do know is that between my Cancer treatment and my Pancreatic attack and hospitalization almost 3 years ago I had no out of pocket expenses.

For those members we have not seen for a while please plan to attend because we miss you when you are not there!
